Froize food has been loved this last two decades, for being honourable, flavoursome, satisfying food with a story to tell.

David Grimwood’s style of cooking is simple, rustic joy.

His passion for local produce – buying from friends and farmers who nurture, grow, and make some of the finest foods available. 

Suffolk is blessed with an abundance of riches ranging from fresh fish to fantastic vegetables & salads. Finest beef, pork, lamb and poultry to delicious dairy products and scrummy fresh ice-creams!

Seasonal food needs a mention – nothing better than asparagus just for that short time – spring and winter vegetables should be looked forward to and enjoyed for being just that – seasonal…

Then there is game – nothing quite as unique and seasonal as the flavours we embrace when it comes to pheasant, partridge, wild duck, rabbit, pigeon and of course… venison for those golden shortcrust pastry – topped pies!!

The best way to book a table is by ‘phone – 01394450282 – remember, the restaurant is only open for lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (two sittings on a Sunday – 12 noon and 2pm). It is always best to book to avoid disappointment.

We suggest you apply for a ‘Froize Club Card’ – that way we can keep you posted about all the special food things and all the exciting events planned.  

Plus, you will get preferential booking opportunities.

Over the years we have had a lot of fun putting on special evenings filled with happiness and delicious food. Our ‘Curry Night’s are famous for the selection and range of flavours. ‘Pudding Club Night’ is an epic journey through a wonderful selection of our fav puddings (after a smorgasbord of savoury starters)

Then there’s the evenings we pay homage to the seasonal delights from field, the sky, and the sea – that’s game, seafood, foraged fare, and lots more besides…
