Sam Kelly (musician www.samkelly.com) loves to go foraging. Vivia Bamford (Sciapod Dairy facebook.com/SciapodDairy) also loves foraging and making cheese. David Grimwood (Froize froize.co.uk) loves foraging and cooking really wild food. Put all three together and you have the recipe for a rather special event.
- Join us at 10.00am for some snacks and wild drinks plus a low down from Sam and Vivia about the day ahead.
- They will take you out into the Suffolk countryside and look/find/explain the various types of plant (and animal/bird) you might encounter.
- Bring your phone with you as you will be encouraged to take photos of plants for ID purposes.
- Remember, look and record – only pick (where allowed to) limited amounts of edibles if there is an abundance and you are 110% sure you know what it is.
- Ask us lots of questions.
- After a couple of hours or so out in the countryside, you will be peckish!
- Back to Froize we go for an exciting two course lunch prepared by David and his team – using some really interesting wild harvested produce.
- Vegan, vegetarian, and carnivorous diets catered for!, GF, DF – too!
A unique opportunity to really enjoy being immersed in the Suffolk landscape – and get to eat some of it!!
