Guided Wildlife Walk: Thurs 11th May 2023 – The Dawn Chorus and Nightingales
A GUIDED WILDLIFE WALK
National Dawn Chorus Day is on Sunday 7th May this year and the cacophony of early-morning birdsong will continue throughout the month. Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps, Garden, Reed and Sedge Warblers, Whitethroats and Lesser Whitethroats will be in full song, so we will all be blessed with the chance to listen to their distinctive repertoires and learn the wonderful variations. Fingers crossed, we may hear and possibly see a Cuckoo. After breakfast, we will go to a Nightingale hotspot and listen and wonder at Britain’s most beautiful songster.
